Benefit concert presented in partnership with the St Vincent de Paul Society Canberra/Goulburn (Vinnies). The orchestra's musicians donate their time, and proceeds support Vinnies' work with people experiencing or at risk of homelessness and poverty across the ACT and regional NSW. Soloist: Polish pianist Lucas Krupiński, winner of the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition. Conducted by NCO Artistic Director Louis Sharpe. The chief executive of St Vincent de Paul Society Canberra/Goulburn opened the concert and welcomed the audience. The performance was reviewed by Canberra CityNews and by Limelight, whose reviewer wrote that the orchestra and soloist carried off an ambitious pairing of two monumental scores.
